Who Runs This Site
Chicago Storm Pros is the storm restoration brand of C&N Construction, Inc., an Illinois licensed roofing contractor at 24 N Hillside Ave, Hillside, IL 60162, license number 104.017643. Every inspection booked here is performed by a C&N crew, every roof is installed by C&N crews, and every warranty is written by C&N. The two names are the same business.
The company was founded in 2015 and has completed more than 25,400 projects across the Chicagoland metro. It holds GAF Master Elite status, a designation about 2% of US roofing contractors carry, along with Haag inspector certification, OSHA workplace safety certification, and a BBB A+ accreditation. In 2025 it ranked #46 on Roofing Contractor Magazine's Top 100 US roofing contractors, ranked by annual revenue.
Why This Site Exists
A storm-damaged roof is one of the few purchases where the homeowner is negotiating with two counterparties at once: an insurance carrier deciding what the damage is worth, and a contractor deciding what to charge. Most homeowners are doing it for the first time, under time pressure, with a deadline they did not know existed.
So the content here is built to be useful before anybody buys anything. The decision guides compare options side by side and name the cases where the other option wins. The cost pages publish real Chicagoland numbers rather than national averages. The 2026 storm report compiles every National Weather Service confirmed severe event by community, with the claim filing deadline each one carries. That knowledge is the product; the roofing work is what we sell.
What We Do
- Storm restoration for wind, hail, and fallen-tree damage
- Hail damage repair and replacement, documented to insurance forensic standards
- Emergency roof repair and tarping, available 24/7
- Roof replacement in asphalt, cedar shake, slate, metal, and flat systems
- Siding, gutters, and windows, which is where hail claims are most often underpaid
- Insurance claim assistance: documentation, adjuster meetings, and supplements
What we do not do is negotiate your claim or interpret your policy. In Illinois that work is reserved for licensed public adjusters, and we say so plainly on the public adjuster guide, including how to find one when a claim needs it.
How The Free Inspection Works
A Haag-certified inspector walks every slope, marks test squares, counts strikes, and photographs what is there. It takes about 45 minutes. The report is yours regardless of what you do next, including if the answer is that there is no claim-worthy damage on your roof.
We are paid when a homeowner hires us for the repair, which is an incentive worth knowing about when you read anything on this site. The full business model, including the check we put on that incentive, is disclosed on how we get paid. The reconciliation discipline that follows from it is written up as the Repairing Accuracy Method.
Where We Work
Cook, DuPage, Will, Kane, Kendall, Lake, McHenry, and DeKalb counties in Illinois, covering 63 towns listed on the service area page. Crews are based in Hillside, which matters after a hail event: local contractors are still here in year three when a warranty claim comes in, and out-of-state storm chasers are not. That distinction is the subject of its own comparison guide.
How To Reach Us
