How do I know if my roof has storm damage?
Most storm damage is invisible from the ground. Hail bruises shingles, cracks flashing, and knocks granules loose without leaving obvious holes. Wind lifts shingles and exposes nail heads on the back slope where you can't see from the street. The only reliable way to know is a professional inspection from the roof deck. Our inspections are free and we document everything with photos.
Will my insurance cover storm damage repairs?
Most homeowner policies cover storm damage minus your deductible. The key is documentation. A detailed damage report with photos, measurements, and a professional assessment gives your insurance company what they need to approve the claim. We help you file and meet your adjuster on-site to make sure nothing gets missed. In Illinois, your insurer cannot raise your rates for filing a single weather-related claim.
How long do I have to file an insurance claim?
Most Illinois homeowner policies require filing within 12 months of the storm event. After that, you risk losing coverage entirely. If your area was hit by a storm in the last year and you haven't had your roof inspected, schedule a free inspection now. Takes about 45 minutes.
What's the difference between you and a storm chaser?
Storm chasers are out-of-town crews that follow hailstorms. They knock on doors, do the work, and leave. If something goes wrong six months later, they're three states away. We're based in Hillside, IL with a permanent presence in the western suburbs. Licensed and insured in Illinois. When we give you a workmanship warranty, we're close enough to honor it.
What does the free inspection include?
We climb the roof and inspect every shingle, vent, and piece of flashing. We check for hail bruises, granule loss, lifted shingles, cracked pipe boots, damaged ridge caps, and compromised valley flashing. Everything gets photographed and documented. The report is yours whether or not you hire us.
How much will repairs cost me out of pocket?
For insured storm damage, most homeowners pay only their deductible. Insurance covers the rest. If your damage isn't covered or you don't want to file, we provide a written estimate before any work begins. No surprises. We never start work without your approval of scope and cost.
